I went to Nakashima today and ordered two of the "Mira" chairs. It's wonderful to sort through the seats. One seat has amazing figured walnut, and the other is straight grained, with a bullet that had been fired in the tree, still visible in the seat. We'll have these to show at the Woodstock Invitational Luthier's Showcase in October.
We've been friends with the members of the Tedeschi-Trucks Band for a number of years and saw Kofi just a few weeks ago when they played in Philadelphia. We're all shocked and saddened to hear he's had a heart attack and are praying for his full recovery.
Thought I'd share the artwork for our new ad in Acoustic Guitar Magazine. This is the first ad with one of the beautiful chairs made by the George Nakashima Woodworker workshop. Many of his pieces are in museums. These are beautiful chairs, and we're really happy to offer them. I love mine.
