When a guitar is truly unique, it offers the opportunity to create a cabinet that compliments the beautiful luthier’s work. This is the first cabinet of this type we’ve done. It’s based on our single guitar display cabinet called the “Nashville”. This cabinet is built from beautiful natural sapele wood complimented by birds eye maple interior.
The guitar/mandolin double neck instrument was built by world famous luthier T.K. Smith. It has a knotty pine top, birds eye maple back and horse shoe inlays. The sides are covered with hand carved leather, and the T.K. Smith made pick ups, tremolo and bridge are all engraved in the style of an old western belt buckle. It’s a one of a kind instrument so we made a one of a kind case.
The cabinet face was also made by T.K. Smith from the same knotty pine as the instrument top. He finished the cabinet face with the same sunburst as the guitar and inlaid a larger version of the horse-shoe on the headstock into the cabinet face.
