Audiophile Furniture: Vinyl Storage, Consoles, Cabinets & More
After years of designing and building guitar display cases to preserve some of the finest instruments ever produced, many of our loyal customers have requested custom furniture that integrates their instruments and gear with their vinyl collection, turntables, and other hi-fi equipment in their living spaces. As a result, Co-owner & Lead Designer Matt Warner began building custom pieces that blended customers’ interior design layouts with their guitar humidors, guitar stands, vinyl collection, turntables, and other equipment.
Dual Guitar Amp Cabinet & Turntable Credenza
Shown in the photo collage above is an American Black Walnut turntable credenza and cabinet equipped with dual sliding amp trays. Located below the record credenza, soft-close solid wooden trays accommodate just about any 1×12 tube guitar amplifier combo. Each tray can also be used to conceal and house a pedalboard or other guitar effects modules such as spring reverb tanks, Echoplexes, and other valuable or delicate equipment. Floating Credenza: Media Storage Cabinet & Stereo Display
At AMF, we specialize in making music a part of your everyday life by designing furniture that is not only handcrafted to display instruments as art in your home but is also designed to entice you to pick up your guitars more often. The accessibility of our designs means that audio equipment, guitar gear, and other tools required for creativity and enjoyment can be easily stowed away, removing the eyesore often associated with music-making gear. The images below represent the intent behind our designs; high-quality furniture, access to creativity anywhere in the home, and minimalist design that retains the interior design aesthetic and refined look of your living spaces without clutter. The image on the far right shows the living space between the kitchen and living room, which features our guitar display cabinet. The customer wanted both access to their hi-fi and other stereo equipment with their beloved guitars never more than a few steps away from the most lived-in areas of their home. This exemplifies the inclusion of music into the heart of the home without sacrificing valuable floor space and compromising on the existing flow of the home’s interior decor with these matched American Black Walnut pieces.
Record Player & Guitar Amplifier Cabinet
Below is another custom record console and amp cabinet designed to bring music into the customer’s living room. This handcrafted credenza utilizes rift-sawn Pennsylvania Cherry and features a sliding amp tray on the left with a soft-close storage drawer above for guitar accessories such as picks, slides, capos, and others. On the right side, the adjustable shelves allow for stacking vinyl records, CDs, or other media equipment such as a vintage tape deck, tube preamplifier, and more. Both sides also utilize solid wood pocket doors that retract for functionality and access to your favorite records and guitar gear. These custom-designed credenzas become a gorgeous utilitarian statement piece in any area of the home by creating storage space and display for both music-listening and music-making devices alike.
Vinyl Record Storage & Stereo Cabinet
This stunning textured Black Ash vinyl storage cabinet and hi-fi stereo console was designed by owner Matt Warner and gives a nod to mid-century modern aesthetic with thinly tapered brass feet. With ample room for storing records below, this large credenza becomes the focal point of any music listening space with room to display and access your tube preamplifier, stereo receiver, and turntable with ease and style. Also situated in the room is a match Guitar Habitat, our signature climate-controlled guitar case matched in the same textured Black Ash with the ability to display and preserve up to six guitars at once.
